International Organizations – it’s HQ and Heads

An international organization also known as “Intergovernmental organization” is an organization established by a concordat governed by international law which posses its own international legal personality, such as the United Nations, the World Health Organization and NATO. The role of International Organizations is to facilitate cooperation and coordination among member nations.

International organizations hold a significant place in world with their scope and presence across the globe. These organizations are responsible to make mass impacts on countries, laws and even global prices from time to time. While Amnesty International is concerned with global peacekeeping, OPEC maintains solidity in global demand and supply of oil. A wide range of issues that surpass global boundaries and local laws are taken care by these organizations.

The first and oldest International Organization was established in 1865 employing a concordat is the International Telecommunication Union.  Later this model was followed by The United Nations after World War II.
