UPPSC Assistant Engineer Recruitment 2020

UPPSC AE Recruitment 2020: Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission(UPPSC), Prayagraj invites online applications for UPPSC AE recruitment 2020 in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Agriculture engineering for a total of 692 vacancies in various departments. Candidates satisfying the eligibility criteria may apply from 30th December 2019. The last date of online application for 30th Jan 2020.

UPPSC Assistant Engineer 2020 Exam Dates

The UPPSC has started accepting the online application for the post of assistant engineer from 30th December 2019. Interested candidates can apply for this recruitment till 30th January 2020. The written examination dates are not yet officially declared. The release date for the admit card is not yet out. Generally, the admit card is released 10-12 days before the examination date.

The syllabus for Concerned or Relevant subjects will depend on the discipline or the stream of engineering for which the candidate has applied for. It will consist of topics that are part of the core technical subjects of the relevant field. For example in the case of Civil engineering discipline questions will be asked from topics like Strength of Materials, Structural Analysis, Design of concrete structures, etc. Questions from mechanical engineering will be asked from subjects like Mechanics, Design of machine elements, etc. The topics from common subjects like General Hindi and General Awareness are as follows:

Pre-requisites For Application

The following type of document must be kept ready by the applicant before filling the application form.

  • Scanned copy of Photograph and Signature on the same document
  • The signature must be below the photograph
  • Overall dimensions must be 3.5cm * 6.0 cm
  • The photograph must be 3.5 cm * 4.5 cm
  • The remaining area must be used for Signature

Application Form Correction

After filling the online application, the candidate must take a printout of the application after clicking on "Submit". In case of discrepancies, the candidate will be required to submit the said print in the office of the Commission, otherwise, his/her request shall not be entertained.

Common Reasons for Application Form Rejection

The application will get rejected if -

  • the guidelines for uploading the required softcopies are not followed
  • incomplete or defective applications shall be summarily rejected
  • candidate has not clicked on " Submit" after filling the application form before the deadline

  • Candidate should use their own contact number and email ID
  • Candidate must make a note of the registration/ application number
  • Copies of fee payment, challans, etc. must be kept for further reference

UPPSC Assistant Engineer 2020 Selection Procedure

The selection will be done in two stages. These two stages are discussed extensively below

1.  Written Examination

The examination will consist of two phases i.e Paper I and Paper-II. Both the examinations will have a duration of 2.5 hours each. The number of questions, too, are the same for both the papers i.e 125. Paper I and Paper II carry 275 marks each. Paper I will consist of two subjects i.e. General Hindi and Concerned Subject I whereas Paper II consists of General Awareness and Concerned Subject II.

2.  Interview 

The qualified candidates will go through a face to face interview. All original certificates shall be verified at the time of the interview. Candidates will also be required to furnish four passport size Photographs, two unattested and two
attested by their Head of Department where they received education or by a Gazetted Officer at the time of Interview. Candidates serving under the Central or State Government will have to produce 'No Objection Certificate'.

UPPSC Assistant Engineer 2020 Admit Card

Candidates who applied for Assistant Engineer posts should download their E-admit Card or Hall Ticket to enter in prescribed Exam Centre of Assistant Engineer Exam conducting by UPPSC. No Admit Card or Hall Ticket will reach home of Candidates by post, it can only be downloaded in one week before exam date through the UPPSSC website (http://uppsc.up.nic.in/). The Admit Card/ Call Letter of provisionally eligible candidates for INTERVIEW will be available for download from Here through a Direct Link, as soon as published by Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC).
