Bihar Police Constable Eligibility Criteria 2020

1. Age Limit

The candidates applying for the Bihar Police Constable Recruitment should be between 18- 25 years. The age relaxation will be given to the candidates according to the government norms.

• SC and ST: 30 Years (upper age limit)
• Male Candidates: 18 to 23 Years
• OBC and EBC (Male): 27 Years (upper age limit)
• Female Candidates: 18 to 28 Years
• OBC and EBC (Females): 28 Years (upper age limit)

2. Educational Qualification

The minimum educational qualification required by the applicant to apply for the recruitment is that he/ she must have completed the 10+2 exam. Also, who completed the 10+2 from Bihar State Madrasa Education Board or Bihar State Sanskrit Shiksha Board or other equivalents recognized by the State Government will also be considered.

3. Physical Requirements

Bihar Police Constable 2020 Exam Pattern

The selection of Bihar Police Constable takes place in the stages namely Written Test, Physical Efficiency Test followed by Medical Examination & Document Verification. Written Test

• You will have to provide your basic information to complete the registration.
• Following that, you will receive a provisional registration number and a system-generated password. Mark these down for future reference.

• You will have to upload your scanned photograph and signature and submit the form.

• You have to make sure that you fulfill the eligibility criteria as per recruitment notification.

Step 1: Written Examination

A Written examination takes place after the application form of the candidate has been submitted after careful consideration and successful submission. The level for the written exam is 10+2 level.

Step 2: Physical Standard Test Details include: 

Height:

• General/BC/EBC candidates: About 165 cms (Male) and 155 cms (female)
• SC/ST candidates: About 160 cms (male) and 155 Cms (female)
• In case of Gorkha Battalion (male only): 160 cms

Chest:

• General/ BC /EBC candidates: Between 81 cms – 86 cms (male)
• SC/ST candidates: Between 79 cms – 84 cms (male)
• Gorkha Battalion: Between 79 cms – 84 cms (male)

Weight:

• In case of female candidates of all categories: 48 Kg
• In case of male candidates of all categories: Should be proportionate to the height
• Details of the Physical Efficiency Test 

Race:

• Male: Around 1000 meters (1 mile) in 6 minutes & 30 seconds
• In case of Female: About 1 km in 4 minutes

High Jump:

• Male: Around 04 Feet (minimum)
• Female: Around 03 Feet (minimum)

Shot put/Gola Fek:

• Male: 16 pounds shot via 16-17 feet
• Female: 12 pounds shot via 12-13 feet

Step 3: Bihar Police Constable Recruitment 2020 Medical examination

After having successfully completed the selection procedure, the eligible candidates should pass through a medical examination. Eyes, color blindness, hearing power and stutter;  all of these are checked under the medical examination which takes place.

The Central Selection Board of Constable had conducted the Bihar Police Constable exam of the first batch on the 12th of January 2020 and the second batch examination was scheduled for the 20th of January 2020. After the postponement, the second batch examination of the BPC was rescheduled for the 8th of March 2020. With a total of 11880 vacancies open, almost 90% of the candidates who had applied for the written test examination had attended the exam.
