Indian Air Force Group X 2020
Air Force Group X exam is commencing from 19th March 2020. Indian Air Force is the air arm of the Indian armed forces and it conducts a recruitment drive for Airmen X posts every year. This year Indian Air Force Recruitment Notification 2020 is been released for unmarried and eligible candidates for the post of Airmen X. The selection is based on 3 stages i.e Written Test, Physical Fitness Ability & Medical Examination which you have to qualify to for the final selection.

Air Force Group X 2020 Salary
Pay & Allowances: During training, a stipend of Rs. 14,600/- per month shall be paid. On completion of training the starting gross emoluments at the minimum of scale of pay including Military Service Pay (MSP), Group ‘X’ Pay {applicable for Group ‘X’ Trades only} and Dearness Allowance (DA) will be as follows:-
Group ‘X’ Trades (Except Education Instructor Trade): Rs.33,100/- per month plus Dearness allowance (as applicable) which, in subsequent years, may rise as per the career progression of the individual.
Other Allowances: In addition to the above, various allowances such as Transport Allowance, Composite Personal Maintenance Allowance (CPMA), Leave Ration Allowance (LRA), High Altitude Allowance, Field Area/Modified Field Area Allowance, HRA, Children Education Allowance/ Hostel Subsidy etc., shall also be admissible from time to time as applicable.
Perks: Perks such as Ration, Clothing, Medical facilities, Accommodation, CSD (Canteen) facilities, Leave (60 days Annual and 30 days Casual in a Calendar year as a privilege, subject to service exigencies), Recreational facilities, Transport facility for school going children and Leave Travel Concession (LTC) shall also be provided as per the existing rules. Also, Group Insurance Cover of Rs. 37.5 Lakhs at a premium of Rs. 2300/- per month for all airmen and facility of Group Housing Scheme are also extended.

Air Force Group X 2020 Eligibility Criteria
The Indian Air Force Group X Recruitment has stringent eligibility criteria. There are 3 criteria of eligibility which you need to qualify to join Indian Air Force - Age, Educational Qualification & Medical Standards. After you fulfill the following eligibility standards you can
apply for this exam. Apart from that, the candidate must be a citizen of India. Read below to know the other eligibility criteria for Indian Air Force exam:
1. Age Limit
- Maximum Age – 21 years
(Candidates sharing their Dob from 19th January 1999 to 1st January 2003 are eligible)
2. Educational Qualification
Group X (Except Education Instructor Trade)
- You must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics & English as subjects, with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English
OR
- You must have passed 3 years Diploma Course in Engineering in any stream, with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.OR
- You should be 10th Pass plus National Apprenticeship (NAC) granted by NCVT or 10th Pass plus ITI from Institution recognized by NCVT/SCVT.
3. Medical Standards
General Medical Standards for both Group ‘X’ (Except Education Instructor Trade) and Group ‘Y’ (Except Automobile Technician, GTI, IAF (P), IAF(S) and Musician) Trades is according to the Indian Air Force Standards

Air Force Group X 2020 Exam Pattern

After you qualify Phase-I you will be called for Phase II. The Phase II is physical ability test
Phase – II – Physical Fitness Ability
- 1.6 Km run to be completed in 6.5 minutes
- 10 Pushups
- 10 Sit-ups

Phase – III – Medical Examination
The last phase of selection for the Airforce Group X will be as per Indian Air Force Standards (IAF).

Application for Airmen X 2020 recruitment takes place online. You can register through CASB’s official website.

Once you go to the CASB’s official website, click on ‘New Registration’.

You will have to provide your basic information to complete the registration.

Following that you will receive a provisional registration number and a system generated password. Mark these down for future reference.

Indian Air Force Admit Cards is released by Central Airmen Selection Board (CASB). It is expected that Airmen X 2020 will be released few days before the written test takes place.
